In 2015 there were two mostly Spanish-language songs on Billboard's Top 100 and in 2016 there were four. The Despacito album reached its peak popularity in 2017, 19 songs mainly composed in Spanish were in at the very top of 100. It climbed to 41 in 2020. Following the time that Justin Bieber released his bilingual remix of Despacito in the year 2017 famous artists started to work with reggaeton musicians. Drake and Bad Bunny were part of a team for the track MIA MIA (2018) as did Madonna and Maluma. Madonna collaborated with Maluma for Medellin, 2019 Reggaeton's mainstreaming was an issue for certain performers during the year 2020.
