Rosalia Vila Tobella[2] (born 25 September 1992),[3] known mononymously as Rosalia (Spanish: [rosa'li.a], Catalan: [ruz@'li.@]),[4][5][6] is a Spanish singer. She was was raised in Barcelona. Her diverse music has earned her the status of "atypical pop star". 9 years ago, at the age of 13, she fell fascination with Spanish folk music. She then studied musicology at Catalonia College of Music. She also performed at weddings and music bars. Reimagining flamenco through mixing it with pop and hip hop music, the album produced the singles "Malamente" and "Pienso en Your Mira" which caught the attention of the Spanish general public and were released to universal praise from critics. 11) Winner of the Latin Grammy Award for Album of the Year, and included in Rolling Stone's list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, El Mal Querer started the ascent of Rosalia into the international scene of music. In 2019, Billboard gave her the Rising Star Award for "changing the current sound of mainstream music with her innovative flamenco-influenced pop",[18and was the first singer from Spain in history to be nominated for the Best New Artist award at the Grammy Awards. Grammys Rosalia was born on 25 September 1992 in Sant Cugat del Valles and raised in Sant Esteve Sesrovires,[20][21][22] Baix Llobregat, Catalonia. Rosalia is the youngest of four children to Pilar Tobella, an entrepreneur who owns a small metalworking company. Jose Manuel Vila, her father was born in Cudillero. They divorced in 2019. (23). She has an older sibling, Pilar "Pili" Vila (born 1989) who is working with Rosalia as her stylist and creative director. Rosalia began to be interested in performing arts when she was a young girl and was particularly interested when she came across the discography of Camaron de La Isla. She began her musical studies at Taller de Musics. She completed a 6 year program at the academy. She began attending class at the Raval school and later moved to the Superior School of Music of Catalonia. Also, she was a soloist, singing at weddings and in bars with musical music. In exchange, she was paid "a barely more than 80 euros" or in return for dinner.
